Plan Features
When you enroll in dental coverage, you will pay a monthly premium for coverage. There are several types of dental plans:
INDEMNITY PLAN
You may visit any provider you choose, but you will be required to cover the cost of care in full at the time of service.
DENTAL PPO
You are required to meet a low deductible and then pay coinsurance when you seek care. In-network and out-of-network overage is typically available. However, you may pay more if you choose to visit an out-of-network provider.
DENTAL HMO
You must meet a deductible before the plan starts to help cover the costs of covered services. With a dental HMO plan, the amount the plan pays varies by the type of service. Out-of-network coverage typically is not available.
