ACA Plans

ACA health plans are designed to provide comprehensive coverage. Annual preventive exams are covered in full when you visit in-network providers, and the plans also help offset the cost of prescription drugs, emergency services, hospitalization and more.

Is an ACA health plan right for me?

An ACA health plan might be a good fit if you:

  • Are self-employed.
  • Have a pre-existing condition.
  • Have experienced a Qualified Life Event.
  • Want a robust health plan that includes coverage for any medical needs you might encounter throughout the year.

Because Open Enrollment for ACA plans happens once a year (unless you experience a Qualified Life Event), a different health plan with a midyear enrollment window — such as a short-term plan, health share program or indemnity plan — may be a better option for you if you need to enroll midyear.

If you have a pre-existing condition, an ACA-compliant health plan might be the right fit for you. These plans cannot deny coverage or charge you more because you have a pre-existing condition.
